IONS-KOALA in Sydney, Nov 23-27, 2009

The second edition of KOALA (Konference on Optics And Laser Applications) is hosted by the student chapters of the University of Sydney and Maquarie University on Nov 23-27, 2009.

So, here's some essential details:

Talks and so forth:
- The program is here.
- Talks are half hour slots including time for questions.
- We are running hour-long short courses on Monday, our only split sessions. The idea is to give an overview of some of the larger fields represented at KOALA.
- The AFW Technologies poster session (and prize ...) is to be held on Tuesday evening.

Accommodation:
- Accommodation for our not-living-in-Sydney delegates is at Mandelbaum House (http://www.mandelbaum.usyd.edu.au/home.htm), and is included in registration.
- We will be setting up a desk at Mandelbaum from midday Sunday 22nd Nov. You can drop your bags from midday-4pm, the rooms will be available from 4pm onward. Dinner is also arranged for those staying at Mandelbaum for the Sunday evening (dinner starts at 6pm).
- Check out on Friday is at 9am sharp.
- Breakfast at Mandelbaum House is included for those staying there (as is lunch and dinner ...).

Meals:
- Registration includes lunch Monday-Friday and dinner Monday-Thursday for all delegates including the social day and the conference dinner.
- If you have any dietary requirements and did not respond to the last email about this, please let us know ASAP!

This year again KOALA will be a week-long (accom, meals, etc. included) affair, we're keeping the registration down to $50 as last year.
